The total elevation gain is around 450–550 meters. On bridges such as the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge, a series of ascents and descents with maximum gradients of around 3% continue, but the bicycle–pedestrian paths are separated from motor traffic, offering an excellent balance of safety and riding comfort. Meanwhile, the Yumeshima Kaido, which connects four islands in Kamijima Town, offers the charm of riding along roads that weave through islands where time seems to flow more slowly, at a level almost the same as the sea surface. It is also highly popular among cyclists within Japan.❶❷❺❽❹❸❻❾❼8Seto Inland Sea
