“BIKE TALK” – Queensland, Australia Edition -, an online talk event organized by Global Ride, was held. Paul Summers, Director of Tourism Queensland Japan, was our guest and spoke about the state of cycling in Queensland, Australia, and some of the major ride events.

The talk will be facilitated by Taro Shirato (sports navigator and representative of Athlonia), a triathlete and frequent visitor to Queensland himself. Please take a look.

Brooklyn’s popular cycling route, Prospect Park

Prospect Park in Brooklyn is a 585-acre park that opened in 1867. Designed by the duo of landscape architects Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, who also designed Central Park, this park has become one of the most popular cycling routes for New York cyclists. During the autumn season, in particular, visitors can enjoy its especially beautiful scenery with foliage.  If you’re biking from Manhattan, you can get there by crossing the Brooklyn Bridge, which is also very popular for walking! Overseas Cycling Situation 2021
Cycling course “Pearl Harbor Bike Path”

This is a 14-mile (23 km, 47 km round trip) one-way ride from Aiea, the northern area of Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Hawaii, to Ewa Village, Kapolei and Ko Olina on the Pearl Harbor Bike Path. Following the Waikiki Ride and the Kakaako Ride, Rod, a loco(local) rider, will introduce the Pearl Harbor Bike Path, a popular cycling course unknown to tourists, from “Hawaii,” a foreign country with which Japanese people feel familiar.
