I used to live in New York for about 25 years. There was no more efficient means of transportation than a bicycle for getting around museums and art galleries for my art-related work. As we all know, New York City has long been known as a city with many world-famous art museums, and I like to suggest a recommended route for exploring contemporary art by bicycle. This is a 14-mile (23 km, 47 km round trip) one-way ride from Aiea, the northern area of Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Hawaii, to Ewa Village, Kapolei and Ko Olina on the Pearl Harbor Bike Path. Following the Waikiki Ride and the Kakaako Ride, Rod, a loco(local) rider, will introduce the Pearl Harbor Bike Path, a popular cycling course unknown to tourists, from “Hawaii,” a foreign country with which Japanese people feel familiar.
